Possible Solutions to Log-in Problems Click here to go back to the ISIS welcome page.

If you are having problems logging in to ISIS, a solution below may solve the problem.

    Browser and ISP requirements
The Banner Web application and the web server security features are optimized for use with Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. Columbus State University only supports Internet Explorer. To download a more recent version of Internet Explorer go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/.

Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs), such as AOL, have web browsers that do not successfully access Banner Web. Do not use the AOL built-in web browser to access Banner Web. You may successfully log into Banner Web if Internet Explorer is launched after connecting to AOL.

Also, your browser will need to accept cookies. If you have cookies turned off, you will not be able to log in, and your browser may or may not notify you that a cookie request was rejected. Go to your browser preferences and turn on cookies.
Using a computer from home or work
If there is a firewall set on your home computer or on the network at your place of employment, the firewall will block your gaining access to port 9000 where ISIS is located. Either remove the firewall or move to a computer or network that does not have a firewall.
ISIS returns a 'Your-PIN-Is-Invalid' error message
You may not be entering the correct PIN or User ID. On the ISIS log-in page, click the "?PINinfo" link, or enter your User ID then click on the "Forgot PIN?" button. (Your user ID is usually your Soc. Sec. No. without any hyphens or dashes, for example, "333224444".)
